As noted previously Johnny Diamond was hospitalized due complications from pneumonia. The NWF/DWA founder was since then released. However DWA officials are once again revealing that Diamond is back in the hospital under close watch in the intensive care unit after having to be rushed to Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio when he collapsed at his home on New Years Day.
"Well Johnny had been sick and was feeling bad (New Years Day). Gen (Diamond's wife) called 911 just a he passed out. His blood pressure was as low as around 70/40 but was up to 120/60 when I left the hospital that night," Colonel Jonathan James told Shoot Junkies.
James has since issued statements to the public informing that Diamond has been taken off all life support except oxygen. And it turns out that it wasn't a heart attack that struck him but his pneumonia was so bad it just hit him that hard physically.
"Johnny Diamond is a former mentor of mine and for that I hold a high respect for him. I have told The Col. on the behalf of myself, the guys at Shoot Junkies, and Elite All Pro Wrestling management, Johnny will be in our prayers," stated EAPW and Shoot Junkies president Dave Robinson.

"The Boss Of Pro Wrestling's Hollywood Hotline" is reporting that Dynamic Wrestling Alliance LLC. Owner and long time Cincinnati wrestling promoter Johnny Diamond has recently been hospitalized due to a severe case of pneumonia. Diamond is probably best known for having founded the Northern Wrestling Federation in the mid 1990's and helped along the careers of superstars Abyss, Jillian Hall, and Wildcat Chris Harris. And earlier in his career he was known to have worked with such WWE Hall Of Famers as Hulk Hogan, Pete Rose, Andre The Giant, and Greg Valentine. But Diamond might be most notable for having a feud with a actual bear which he would frequently wrestle in a ring.
