Original Ass Kickin Panel member Officer Frank Hughes notified Talkin Smack producers that he will no longer co host the internet radio show as of last week. Hughes who has been with the show since it debuted in February, 2011 and is also the founder of the now defunct Unstoppable Wrestling Alliance and even runs a security business on the side.
The reason that Hughes gave for leaving was that he wanted to dedicate more time to getting his new wrestling promotion in Hamilton, Ohio off the ground and didn't want his name on something he couldn't commit to. He also informed producers that he felt Shoot Junkies had, "gone soft" in its backstage coverage on wrestlers and promoters.
Inside sources say that the reasoning goes further than what Hughes gave and he really resigned because of heat he has with Christian Wrestling Association International (CWA) promoter R.J. Smith III who was on The Ass Kickin Panel the same night Hughes gave his notice. The heat allegedly stems over a couple of trainees who frequent the CWA training facility as well as Hughes' private gym on the side. It is rumored that Hughes became jealous when the trainees came into his place and started boasting about the CWA.
Sources are also claiming that Talkin Smack host and producer Dave Robinson was none too pleased with Hughes for leaving the show abruptly without advance notice which is frowned upon in the wrestling business. It also allegedly didn't go over very well with Shoot Junkies management when Hughes blasted on the integrity of the website's reporting.
Talkin Smack producers have stated they are already diligently searching for a suitable and colorful replacement for Officer Hughes to join Dave Robinson, Dan Hansen, and Duane Glidewell on The Ass Kickin Panel as a regular.
